Music

There are many opportunities to serve in music ministry at Bethel. Here are a few:

Chancel Choir | Mens Chorus | Ladies Chorus | Youth Choir | Children’s Choir

Please contact the church office for more information: 770-474-2570.

Chancel Choir Our Chancel Choir features music during our 11 am Traditional service and also provides music for a Christmas and Easter Cantata each year. They often visit other churches to provide special music and join in with other choirs for special services.

Men’s Chorus Our men have an opportunity to provide a different sound to worship. It may range from traditional classical all the way to barbershop quartet/acapella style.

Ladies Chorus Our ladies provide a more lyrical sound than the traditional choir and is made up of ladies who are not necessarily in our Chancel choir.

Youth Choir We do not have an official youth choir, however there is a team of youth who provide the music on Sunday nights for youth worship. Other youth do come together during special times to form a choir.

Children’s Choir Our children also gather during special times to present songs during worship. And, of course, after Vacation Bible School they always enjoy presenting the worship songs they learned!

Basic Faith Band Our Contemporary Service is led by Basic Faith musicians and singers.

CHOIR NOTES

Hello, All!

First comes thanks!  To God who makes all things possible.  Then to everyone who participated in our Holy Week, including Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter.  To Joyce and Ericka for their leadership with the kids and youth on cantata day:  To hear the little kids singing “We Remember” will stay with me for a long time.  We certainly could not have done this without the talent and dedication of Brian McClure.  Thanks Bri.

So, thanks to our singing kids and the youth who carried out our drama so nicely, as they built the vignette around the cross, and then asked the congregation to participate by touching the cloth (signifying the burial cloths for Jesus).  Thanks for the presentation by the choir, and for their commitment.  We always love having “special events singers”; this year was a real treat as we added extra chairs on the floor to accommodate the singers!

In May we are looking forward to Mother’s Day.  We will continue to bring special music, and also support the tradition of wearing corsages for remembrance of mothers, those who have passed, white, and those still living, red.  Thanks to those who are making this happen!

Thanks for all you do.

Margaret
